Diego Pacheco has renewed with Matchroom Boxing and will return on July 18 against Immanuwel Aleem at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
Pacheco (25-0, 18 KOs) remains unbeaten, but his last few performances have led to changes around him. After three straight unanimous decision wins and a knockdown scare against Kevin Lele Sadjo in December, the South Central Los Angeles super middleweight has moved to Sheer Sports for management and brought in Hall of Fame fighter Buddy McGirt as trainer.
The 25-year-old was approaching the end of his Matchroom deal this summer, but instead recommitted to Eddie Hearn’s promotional company as he looks to rebuild momentum toward a world title shot.

Aleem (22-4-3, 14 KOs) comes in as the WBC’s No. 14 contender and recently challenged Lester Martinez for the interim title, losing by unanimous decision in March. For Pacheco, it is a chance to sharpen his form against an experienced opponent at a venue known for action fights.
“I’m excited [Pacheco] will be back with Matchroom and back fighting in the summer at the ‘War Grounds,’ where we’ll see a star in the making,” Robert Diaz said.
The co-main event will feature Olympic gold medalist Andy Cruz (6-1, 3 KOs) against unbeaten Albert Bell (28-0, 9 KOs).
