Max “Money” McIntyre will now face Diego Ramirez on July 10 at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane after original opponent Bohdan Sobol withdrew due to injury.
McIntyre, 10-0 (9 KOs), was initially scheduled to meet Sobol for the WBA Inter-Continental super middleweight title in what was expected to be the biggest international test of his young career. Sobol, 20-1-1 (10 KOs), brought the experience and résumé to test the unbeaten Australian in front of his hometown crowd.
With Sobol out, Ramirez has stepped in as a late replacement for the main event. The updated fight will now see McIntyre headline The Money Show as he looks to extend his unbeaten record and continue his rise at super middleweight.
The event is promoted by Tasman Fighters in association with GoldStar Promotions and will be broadcast live on Stan Sport in Australia and UFC Fight Pass internationally.
