The contest will be an exhibition, meaning the outcome will not affect Mayweather’s 50-0 professional record or Zambidis’ professional standing.
The June clash marks Mayweather’s third scheduled fight of 2026. He is also set to compete in an exhibition against Mike Tyson in April and a professional rematch with Manny Pacquiao in September. Zambidis, an 18-time world kickboxing champion and national sporting hero in Greece, is known for his aggressive style and knockout power.
The venue choice carries symbolic weight, as the OAKA Olympic Complex famously hosted the 2004 Summer Olympics. The event is expected to draw strong local support for Zambidis in Athens.
