Top Boxing Generation has officially announced a compelling junior welterweight matchup for December 20, as Spain’s Sandor Martin prepares to face Ukrainian contender Yanis Kurylenko at the Bilbao Arena in Bilbao, Spain.
Martin (42-4, 15 KOs), one of Spain’s most seasoned and skilled operators, returns to the ring for the first time since March. In his most recent outing, he dropped a razor-close split decision to Alberto Puello in a fight for the WBC junior welterweight title. Now 32 and back on home soil, Martin aims to rebound immediately and reinsert himself into the divisional picture.
Kurylenko (14-1, 8 KOs) arrives with momentum of his own. The 30-year-old Ukrainian secured a majority-decision win in June over Andrii Boryshpolts, marking his second victory against the same opponent. With just one defeat on his record, he sees Martin as the biggest test - and biggest opportunity - of his career so far.
For Martin, December 20 is a chance to reestablish himself as a world-level threat. For Kurylenko, it’s a gateway to global recognition.
