Red Owl Boxing returns to Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, on September 11 with Boxfest XX, headlined by a 10-round junior welterweight matchup between Giovanni Marquez and Rowin Javier Sanchez. The main card will stream live on DAZN.
Marquez, a 25-year-old Houston native, is the son of former world champion Raul Marquez, who also serves as his trainer. A 2021 National Golden Gloves champion, Giovanni is coming off a third-round stoppage of Ernest Bustos and will make his first appearance under his new promotional deal with Red Owl Boxing.
Sanchez, 30, was born in San Felipe, Venezuela, and is now based in Prichard, Alabama. He left Venezuela in 2025 and traveled through seven countries before reaching the United States. Since arriving, he has remained unbeaten in three fights and is coming off the biggest win of his career.
In April, Sanchez stopped Jacob Marrero in the third round with a right hook to capture the WBC FECARBOX lightweight title. He now moves up to 140 pounds to face Marquez in his first fight under the Red Owl Boxing banner.
