Corey Marksman will face Christian Barreto in a 10-round lightweight main event on August 28 at Caribe Royale Orlando in Florida.
The unbeaten matchup will launch the new “Project Series” from Boxlab Promotions and Matchroom Boxing, with the card streaming on DAZN.
Marksman (13-0-1, 9 KOs) will defend his WBA Continental Americas title, while the WBO Global belt will also be at stake. The 25-year-old enters after defeating Jaycob Gomez by unanimous decision in March.
Barreto (15-0, 9 KOs) is also coming off a unanimous decision victory, having beaten Alberto Mercado in February. The 29-year-old Puerto Rican said he has been waiting for this type of opportunity and expects an action-packed fight.
The undercard includes an unbeaten 10-round super welterweight clash between Alex Bray (11-0, 8 KOs) and Antraveous Ingram (13-0-1, 7 KOs).
Kaipo Gallegos (12-0-1, 9 KOs) will face Desmond Lyons (11-3, 2 KOs) over eight rounds at lightweight, while Carlos Jamil De Leon (8-0, 6 KOs) meets Maxwel Montes (13-5-1, 7 KOs) in another eight-round lightweight contest.
