Manny Pacquiao’s first U.S.-based promotional event is officially sold out, and fans will still catch every moment of the action. The November 29 card at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California, will air live on ESPN Deportes, ESPN Knockout and ESPN+, beginning at 10 p.m. ET.
The event was originally scheduled to be headlined by a featherweight clash between Elijah Pierce and Lorenzo Parra. However, the matchup was cancelled at the last moment on weigh-in day.
Pierce (21-2, 17 KOs), a 29-year-old from Georgia, had been preparing for another step forward in the 126-lb division after strong wins over Arthur Villanueva, Michael Dasmarinas, Tramaine Williams, Mike Plania and Jose Sanmartin. Parra (23-1-1, 17 KOs), a seasoned Venezuelan contender with just one career defeat, was set to bring his own power and experience into the ring. Though the fight will no longer take place, both boxers figure to remain key players in the featherweight picture.
The undercard now takes center stage, highlighted by a milestone for the Pacquiao family: the professional debut of Emmanuel “Jimuel” Pacquiao Jr., who meets fellow debutant Brendan Lally in a four-round lightweight bout. The matchup marks the beginning of Jimuel’s journey under the promotional banner led by his legendary father.
