Angelo Leo will make his next IBF featherweight title defense against Ra’eese Aleem on May 9 at the Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
The fight was secured after Manny Pacquiao’s MP Promotions won the purse bid and partnered with Salita Promotions to stage the event, which will be broadcast on DAZN.
Leo (26-1, 12 KOs), 31, is seeking his second defense of the title he won in August 2024 with a 10th-round knockout of Luis Alberto Lopez. He last defended the belt in Japan, earning a majority decision over Tomoki Kameda.
The New Mexico native has now won six consecutive fights since his lone professional defeat to Stephen Fulton in 2021.
Aleem (23-1, 12 KOs), 35, enters as the mandatory challenger following three straight victories since his split decision loss to Sam Goodman in 2023. He most recently defeated previously unbeaten Mikito Nakano by unanimous decision.
