Undefeated Ukrainian light heavyweight Daniel Lapin will take on Latvia’s Kristaps Bulmeistars for the WBA Continental, IBF Intercontinental and WBO International titles as part of the “Rising Stars” boxing event promoted by Usyk Promotions.
Lapin enters the bout with a perfect 12-0 record with four knockouts and will look to continue his rise in the light heavyweight division. The Ukrainian has steadily built momentum in recent years and now faces one of the more experienced opponents of his career.
Bulmeistars, 14-4 (5 KOs), brings valuable experience and durability into the ring. The Latvian fighter is known for his disciplined technique and resilience, which could make the contest a significant test for Lapin as he looks to strengthen his standing in the 175-pound division.
The card will also feature one of the most anticipated moments in Ukrainian boxing this year as Olympic gold medalist Oleksandr Khyzhniak makes his professional debut. The Paris 2024 Olympic champion and former world and European amateur champion will face Colombia’s Wilmer Baron.
Baron, who holds an 8-13-1 record with six knockouts, is regarded as a durable fighter with good mobility and counterpunching ability. For the Colombian, the fight presents an opportunity to measure himself against one of the most decorated amateur boxers of the past decade.
Khyzhniak enters the professional ranks with a reputation for relentless pressure, aggressive offense and a high work rate that defined his amateur success.
