New Era Sports & Entertainment is set to deliver a major night for Canadian boxing fans on November 29, hosting a double championship event at La Nesra Event Studio, airing live on Triller TV and Millions.
In the main event, Francis Lafrenière (20-7-2, 11 KOs) makes a long-awaited return after six years away from the ring, facing former North American champion Francy Ntetu (19-6, 4 KOs) for the CPBC North American title at 175 lbs. Now 43, Lafrenière has rekindled his competitive fire and sees this homecoming as the gateway to a dream matchup with Quebec icon Jean Pascal. Promoter Yan Pellerin echoed the sentiment, praising the comeback as the kind of storyline “only sports can write.” Ntetu, well-tested against the likes of David Benavidez and Marcus Browne, has no intention of playing spoiler quietly.
The co-main event brings another compelling national showdown as Jan-Michael Poulin (10-2-3, 2 KOs) battles veteran contender Steve Rolls (22-4, 12 KOs) for the Canadian Super Welterweight Championship at 154 lbs. Poulin, known for his technical skill and steady rise through Quebec’s boxing scene, seeks redemption after a previous defeat to Mitch Louis-Charles and hopes to crown his journey with a national title. Rolls enters with extensive world-level experience, having shared the ring with Gennadiy Golovkin, Austin Williams, and Erickson Lubin — all of which he aims to leverage to establish himself as Canada’s top 154-pounder.
