Cuauhtémoc Sports Center hosts a charity card dedicated to supporting young people undergoing addiction rehabilitation on Saturday, January 17.
The centerpiece of the card will see Gabriel “Nitchs” Jiménez take on Daniel “Dragón” Sánchez for a title sanctioned by the World Boxing Council. The bout serves as both a competitive attraction and a symbol of boxing’s ability to contribute beyond the sport itself.
Aaron Silva, director of Hacienda Nueva Vida, emphasized the importance of the WBC’s backing and the cooperation of local authorities. He noted that boxing has become a powerful tool within the rehabilitation process, helping young people find discipline and a path away from addiction.
