Legendary Australian trainer Jeff Fenech and rising star Brock Jarvis have reunited after an 18-month split, reigniting their partnership
ahead of Jarvis’s highly anticipated return to the ring on December 13. The bout will take place at Sydney’s The Star, where Jarvis (21-1, 19 KOs) is set to face former Australian champion Adrian Rodriguez (13-10-2, 6 KOs) in a super welterweight contest.
The break in their partnership began after Jarvis’s last professional fight on March 8, 2023. Now, under Fenech’s guidance once again, the 27-year-old is preparing to reignite his career. Training sessions at Bondi Boxing Gym and Bodypunch Boxing Gym this week have demonstrated Jarvis’s dedication and hunger.
“Jeff and I had been talking - it just feels right,” said Jarvis. “The hunger has always been there - it’s actually stronger than ever.”
Fenech, a four-time world champion and Hall of Fame inductee, shared his excitement about working with Jarvis again. “Nothing has changed - Brock still has that great work ethic,” said Jeff. “We have to work together to make him more defensive-minded, but his drive is what brought me back into boxing.”
Jarvis’s opponent, Adrian Rodriguez, is a tough, experienced fighter who has captured the Australian title multiple times. No Limit Boxing promoter Matt Rose praised the high stakes of Jarvis’s comeback fight. “This is a big decision for Brock to take a challenge like this right away. It’s a great test, and we’re all excited to see him back with Jeff in his corner,” Rose said.
