Undefeated NABF middleweight champion Francis Hogan returns on March 28 to defend his title against seasoned veteran Patrick Allotey at the North Shore Music Theatre in Massachusetts.
Hogan (21-0, 17 KOs) enters the bout following a series of wins, including victories over Elvin Ayala, Khiary Gray, Esneiker Correa, and Antonio Todd. His win over Todd last November earned him a WBC ranking and marked one of his most complete performances.
“The strategy was to keep hitting the hole on him,” Hogan said when reflecting on that fight. “Once I realized he didn’t have much power, I started breaking him down.”
Allotey (45-10, 35 KOs) brings experience, having faced multiple contenders at middleweight. He is coming off a majority decision loss to Tommy Hyde in a fight that was closely contested.
“He’s a tough, rugged opponent,” Hogan said. “I’m going to feel him out early, see how his power is, and then dominate him.”
Hogan has continued his preparation in Boston, recently sparring with Rashidi Ellis as part of his training camp. “I feel great. I’m ready for this fight,” he said.
