Fight Details

WBA lightweight champion Stephanie Han will defend her title against former world champion Holly Holm in a rematch scheduled for May 30 at the El Paso County Coliseum in Texas. The bout will be nationally televised on ESPN and is part of the launch of MVPW, a women-focused platform under Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.

The fight follows their first meeting on January 3 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where Han defeated Holm by technical decision after an accidental headbutt caused a cut on Han’s forehead in the seventh round. At the time of the stoppage, Han was ahead on the scorecards with tallies of 69-65, 69-64 and 68-65.

Han (12-0, 3 KOs) will be making the third defense of the WBA lightweight title she originally captured in El Paso with a first-round knockout of Hannah Terlep. Her first defense came in Florida, where she secured a 10-round decision victory over Paulina Angel.

The upcoming bout will mark a hometown appearance for Han, who expressed excitement about bringing the championship fight back to El Paso. She said she wants a clear outcome this time after the controversy surrounding the ending of their first fight.

Holm (34-3-3, 9 KOs), who is from Albuquerque, also welcomed the opportunity for a second fight. She said the circumstances of the original stoppage left many fans wanting another meeting and added that she remains motivated as she continues the later stage of her career.

The co-main event features Amanda Serrano returning on May 30 in El Paso, defending her unified WBO, WBA and Ring Magazine featherweight titles against German puncher Cheyenne “Pepper” Hanson.

Serrano said she specifically wanted to join the El Paso card to support Stephanie Han and Holly Holm, who headline in their rematch. “When MVP told me that Han and Holm were going to rematch in Stephanie’s home town of El Paso, I said I want to get on the card to support these two queens,” Serrano said. She also made clear that Hanson’s power has her attention: “I respect every opponent who steps in the ring, and I know Hanson is coming to win and she has KO power.”

Hanson, a 28-year-old from Augsburg, Germany, enters as a former WBF world champion and current top contender at featherweight. With a 76% knockout ratio and back-to-back TKO wins in December 2025 and March 2026, she now makes her MVP debut against one of the sport’s most decorated champions. “I’m really excited and grateful for this fight,” Hanson said. “It means a lot to be representing Germany on this stage. I respect my opponent, but I’m coming to make a statement.”

The card also includes Desley Robinson defending her unified middleweight titles against Mary Spencer. Robinson said she needs “a big win on a big stage against a big opponent,” while Spencer delivered one of the strongest lines of the promotion: “I didn’t come this far to admire champions. Respect yes. Admire no! I came to take everything they have.”

Lourdes Juarez vs. Yokasta Valle adds another champion-vs-champion matchup, with Juarez defending her WBC light flyweight title and Valle moving up in pursuit of a seventh world title. Juarez promised “a great war,” while Valle said facing a Mexican champion is exactly the kind of challenge she wants: “Champion versus champion. That’s what women fighters always want, to face the best, and that is what makes women’s boxing even bigger.”
