Anthony Garnica and Eros Correa will meet on May 15 at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California, with the WBC Continental Americas bantamweight title on the line. The event, presented by Showtime Boxing Promotions as part of New Era Fight Night III, will air live on FOX Deportes.
Garnica (13-0, 8 KOs), an unbeaten 25-year-old from Oakland, enters the biggest test of his career as he looks to claim his first major title. “Fans can expect an action-packed fight,” Garnica said. “At the end of the day, it’s going to come down to styles - and mine will prevail.”
Correa (15-2, 9 KOs), a 33-year-old veteran from San Jose now fighting out of Las Vegas, is aiming to rebuild after a close decision loss to Michael Angeletti in June 2025 and an injury setback earlier that year. He has since changed camp and is now working with trainer Richard Barrientes.
“I’m excited to get back into the ring, and I know this title will get me back in the rankings where I belong,” Correa said. “I’ve been working with my new trainer and I’ve elevated my skillset.”
The fight carries major ranking implications, with the winner expected to move into the WBC top 20 at bantamweight.
