Boxing Insider Promotions will return to Tropicana Atlantic City on Saturday, March 7, hosting its first event of 2026 and continuing its successful revival of professional boxing at the venue. After a seven-year absence, the promotion brought boxing back to the Tropicana in May 2024, and the upcoming show will mark the seventh Boxing Insider card there, with each event growing in scale.
The card will be headlined by NABF super lightweight champion Justin Figueroa (14-0, 11 KOs), known locally as “Mr. Atlantic City.” The unbeaten New Jersey standout will lead a lineup built around regional talent from New Jersey and New York, a hallmark of Boxing Insider’s Atlantic City shows.
Among the featured bouts is an all-New Jersey clash between John Leonardo (12-1-1, 6 KOs) and Edgar Cortes (9-8-1, 1 KO), with Leonardo returning to fight in Atlantic City. The women’s card will include undefeated Lia Lewandowski (3-0, 1 KO) as she looks to continue her strong start against Indeya Rodriguez (6-8-3, 1 KO) in a competitive matchup.
The undercard also showcases several notable prospects and local names, including Somers Point native Josh Popper (5-0, 5 KOs), Breadwinners Boxing founder and unbeaten professional, and Jahanzeb Rizwan (1-0, 1 KO), who makes his Atlantic City debut following a knockout win at Barclays Center and previously represented Pakistan at a 2024 Olympic qualifier. Towering Irish heavyweight Jim Torney (5-0-1, 5 KOs), standing 6-foot-9, is also scheduled to appear.
Additional bouts will be announced in the coming weeks, as Boxing Insider continues to build momentum at the Tropicana. Tickets for the March 7 event are available now through Ticketmaster, with the promotion aiming to further cement Atlantic City as a growing hub for regional professional boxing in 2026.
