Angel Fierro (20-1-2, 16 KOs) defends his WBO NABO Lightweight title against Eduardo Estela (14-1, 9 KOs), headlining a March 4 DAZN broadcast from Mexico, on a show promoted by Matchroom Boxing.
Fierro, a Mexican native who now competes out of San Diego, California, stopped Jeremy Cuevas in the sixth round to win the title in the co-main event of Mauricio Lara against Jose Sanmartin in October 2022. He also fought with Juan Carlos Burgos to a majority draw in March 2022.
“I am very happy to fight again in Mexico with my people,” said Fierro. “I am going to show them that I am ready for a world title, I am preparing for that, and I am excited to return to the ring.”
Estela, a boxer from Montevideo, Uruguay, defeated Ruben Torres in his previous fight in November 2022 through split decision to earn his fourth straight victory. He defeated Jampier Oses and Daniel Alejandro Combi earlier in the same year, in the first and sixth rounds, respectively.
In the co-main event, Eduardo Nunez (23-1, 23 KOs) takes on Jesus Ceyca (17-0, 8 KOs) in a 10 rounds clash at super featherweight.
