Armenian boxer Otar Eranosyan (13-0, 6 KOs) faces off against former world titleholder Roger Gutierrez (27-4-1, 21 KOs) in the main event at the Whitesands Events Center in Plant City, Florida. This fight is the significant step-up for the undefeated Eranosyan, as Gutierrez currently holds the No. 7 ranking in the junior lightweight division according to The Ring. The event will also be broadcast live on the ProBox TV application and YouTube channel.
Eranosyan, originally from Armenia but now a Miami Beach, Florida resident, is coming off a recent victory on May 17, having defeated Edy Valencia by a unanimous decision. This win came just over eight months after Eranosyan’s defeat of former world title challenger Cesar Juarez. Eranosyan has consistently made his presence felt on a number of ShoBox cards, improving his skills and gaining familiarity with boxing fans, according to Mangushev. Despite being seen as the underdog, Mangushev expressed confidence in Eranosyan's abilities, hinting that fans are yet to see the best of him.
Gutierrez, hailing from Maracaibo, Venezuela, has a rich boxing history, having recently won a fight on March 3 by knocking out Henry Delgado in the second round. However, Gutierrez also tasted defeat in August of the previous year when he lost the WBA world title belt to Hector Garcia of the Dominican Republic in a unanimous decision. The 28-year-old has previously fought under the Golden Boy Promotions banner, with significant bouts including losses to Hector Tanajara, Jr. and Oscar Duarte in 2018, a knockout win over junior lightweight contender Eduardo Hernandez in 2019, and back-to-back wins over Rene Alvarado in 2021.
