The Fox Theatre in Detroit will play host once again to Olivia Curry and Kaye Scottб only this time, their rematch takes top billing. The event streams live on DAZN.
Their first meeting in September delivered a competitive, high-tempo fight but no decisive winner. Two scorecards read 95-95, neutralizing a wide 98-92 tally for Scott. With the belts left unclaimed, both fighters return to the same venue aiming to remove the guesswork.
Curry (7-2-2, 2 KOs) admits the draw stung but says the rematch comes with a sharper mindset. “I landed the harder shots, but I gave up too much time in between those moments,” she said. “This time, I’m staying sharp and not letting her control the pace. I came into the first fight too polite. Now I’m coming in with bad intentions.”
Scott (4-1-1, 0 KOs) sees things differently and plans to prove her point. “I know I won that last fight,” the 41-year-old Australian said. “I’m not leaving without those belts. I’ve never been more focused.”
Both women are chasing redemption from recent setbacks. Curry dropped a decision to Shadasia Green at super middleweight last year, while Scott lost a vacant IBF 160-lb title fight to Desley Robinson.
The undercard offers Detroit fans more hometown energy. Former junior middleweight champion Tony Harrison (30-4-1, 21 KOs) continues rebuilding his career in a 10-round middleweight bout against Brian Damian Chaves. Harrison returned from a 28-month layoff in July, surviving a knockdown to defeat Edward Ulloa Diaz on points. “To have my last two fights here in Detroit is a dream,” he said. “Soon enough, we’ll shock the world again.”
Heavyweight prospect Pryce Taylor (9-0, 6 KOs) also features in an eight-round clash with veteran Michael Coffie (13-5, 10 KOs).
