Andres Cortes will face Eridson Garcia in the main event of Zuffa Boxing 5 on April 5 at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Cortes (24-0, 13 KOs), a 28-year-old from nearby Henderson, Nevada, enters the fight unbeaten and coming off a knockout victory over Derlyn Hernandez-Gerarldo last October. The rising contender has steadily built momentum in the lightweight division and now looks to strengthen his position with another win on the Zuffa stage.
Garcia (23-1, 14 KOs), a 31-year-old Dominican fighter based in Houston, arrives following a split decision victory over Taiga Imanaga in December. The win helped keep him in contention among the top fighters in the division as he prepares for one of the biggest fights of his career.
The co-main event is expected to feature former WBC featherweight champion Mark Magsayo against Feargal McCrory in a 10-round lightweight contest.
Magsayo (28-2, 18 KOs) has won three consecutive fights since losing his title, most recently defeating Jorge Mata by decision last July. McCrory (17-1, 9 KOs), who fights out of New York, rebounded from a 2024 loss to Lamont Roach with an eighth-round stoppage of Keenan Carbajal last March.
