A major milestone for African boxing is set for Friday, December 19, 2025, when Lawrence Okolie makes his first professional appearance on the continent at ‘Chaos In The Ring II’, live from the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, Nigeria. The heavyweight triple-header will stream globally on DAZN.
Headlining the card, Okolie (22-1, 16 KOs) — a two-weight world champion and current WBC No.1 heavyweight contende, who will fight professionally in Africa for the first time. Born in London to Nigerian parents, the 33-year-old views the night as a defining moment in his career and a chance to inspire new generations across the continent.
“Big-time boxing comes to Lagos!” Okolie said. “This will be a historic moment for Africa, my family, and my career. Detty December just got saucy — thanks to Frank, George, and Queensberry for making this happen.”
The co-main event features David Adeleye, who looks to reignite his momentum after a thrilling battle with Filip Hrgovic. Fighting in his ancestral homeland for the first time, Adeleye promised fireworks: “Nigeria - I’m coming home. The first show was spectacular, and this time we’re bringing even more fire.”
Rising heavyweight Emanuel Odiase (9-0, 8 KOs) also returns to Lagos after delivering a first-round knockout at the same arena earlier this year. Completing the lineup is an all-Nigerian clash between Taiwo Agbaje (18-0, 13 KOs) and Musa Tope Tajudeen (19-1, 17 KOs).
“This triple-header celebrates our heritage, resilience, and ambition,” said Dr. Ezekiel Adamu, CEO of Balmoral Group Promotions. “Fans can expect an unforgettable night of action.”
