Kevin Hayler Brown is ready to showcase the next stage of his rise when he meets Juan Meza this Friday in a 10-round junior welterweight main event at Caribe Royale Orlando, live on BXNGTV. The unbeaten Cuban insists this camp with coach Ismael Salas has been the sharpest of his career and left him primed for a major step forward.
“Training in Las Vegas with Coach Salas has taken me to a different level—mentally, physically, and technically,” Brown said. “This has been my most focused and intense camp yet.”
Brown (7-0, 3 KOs) has already proven his stamina, going the 10-round distance four times since turning professional. His résumé includes wins over John Bauza, Esteuri Suero, and Julian “The Quiet Storm” Smith, victories that have established him as a fighter who thrives against tricky opposition. Promoter Amaury Piedra believes it’s only a matter of time before Brown fights for world honors, praising his steady growth and versatility.
Meza, 26, poses a fresh test. The Mexican fighter scored a stunning knockout of Greg Outlaw in 2023 and returns to the U.S. looking to derail Brown’s momentum. “Juan Meza is a tough, hungry fighter,” Brown acknowledged. “I respect what he brings to the ring, but I’m coming to make a statement. Styles make fights, and I believe mine will break him down.”
For Brown, the Orlando spotlight is an opportunity not just to defend his unbeaten record, but to announce himself as a legitimate contender in boxing’s stacked junior welterweight division.
