At the top of the bill, Barboza (32-1, 11 KOs) and Sims (22-3-1, 8 KOs) both seek redemption after setbacks in 2025. Barboza rebounded from his first career loss to Teofimo Lopez by reshaping his team and mindset, calling this bout the start of his “Redemption Tour.” Sims, whose nine-fight win streak ended in a majority decision defeat to Oscar Duarte, views the matchup as long overdue and labeled it “do or die” for both men.

In the co-feature slots, unified champions Oscar Collazo and Gabriela Fundora will defend their titles in separate bouts. Puerto Rico’s Collazo (13-0, 10 KOs) was originally set for a three-belt 105lbs unification rematch with Melvin Jerusalem, but that fight has been postponed. Instead, the lineal, RING, WBA and WBO champion will face Mexico’s Jesus Haro (13-3, 2 KOs) in what marks Haro’s first career title shot and just his second scheduled 12-round contest.

“I’m very happy to be returning to the ring this coming March 14th. Unfortunately, we won’t be pursuing a unification bout for reasons beyond my control,” Collazo said. “Without a doubt, Puerto Rico vs. Mexico is a guaranteed war.”
Fundora (17-0, 9 KOs), the unbeaten lineal, RING and undisputed flyweight champion, will make her sixth defense of at least one belt against WBA interim titlist Viviana Ruiz. The 23-year-old southpaw, named 2024 Fighter of the Year, has scored knockouts in five of her six title fights and vowed to deliver another strong performance in Anaheim.
