WBA featherweight champion Nick Ball is set to make the second defense of his title against former IBF super-bantamweight champion TJ Doheny at The Echo Arena in Liverpool.
Doheny, now 38, last stepped into the ring against Naoya Inoue in September, suffering a damaging stoppage at the hands of the pound-for-pound star. While many fans question the quick turnaround for Doheny - shifting from a 122-pound title defeat straight into a 126-pound championship bout - he insists on his willingness to face anyone, anywhere.

There is an 11-year age gap between Ball (27) and Doheny (38), highlighting a significant youth advantage for the defending champion. Coupled with the naturally larger frame of Ball, who is fully acclimated to the featherweight division, it’s easy to see why many consider this fight a showcase for the Liverpudlian puncher.
