In a thrilling showcase of boxing prowess, Lucas “The Prince” Bahdi (13-0, 11 KOs) is set to headline an event in his hometown, facing off against Jesus Amparan (20-3-0, 16 KOs) for the coveted IBF North American lightweight title at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre.
Bahdi, a rising lightweight star, has already made waves in Canada with his devastating knockout power, having stopped 11 of his 13 opponents within the distance. This fight marks the undefeated contender’s first bout since joining forces with Lee Baxter Promotions.
Bahdi’s ambitions extend beyond the North American title, as he aims to make a global impact on the lightweight division and challenge the top 135-pound fighters. With three national titles already under his belt as an amateur, Bahdi is eager to add to his collection. However, Jesus Amparan, a formidable opponent hailing from Sonora, Mexico, stands in his way.
Amparan, currently unbeaten in his last four bouts, intends to bring the fight to Bahdi and return to Mexico with both the belt and his winning streak intact.
In the undercard, all-action junior welterweight prospect Joshuah Lupia (10-0, 8 KOs) makes his hometown return for the first time since 2019. Lupia, a two-time amateur national champion, previously won a comfortable point decision against Lanardo Tyner in December 2022.
Also, Mikiah Kreps (5-0, 2 KOs), known as “The Queen of Niagara Falls,” will cross the USA-Canada border to make her Canadian debut. Kreps recently secured an 8-round unanimous decision victory against Indeya Smith in New York, USA.
