Ryūsei Matsumoto (born May 14, 1998) is a Japanese professional boxer who competes in the mini-flyweight division. In September 2025, he captured the WBA (Regular) mini-flyweight title, becoming one of Japan’s newest world champions.

Matsumoto turned professional in 2023 and quickly established himself as a promising prospect on the Japanese boxing scene. He debuted at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, where he earned a third-round knockout over Erson Trinidad. After steadily building his record, he claimed the Japanese mini-flyweight title in September 2024 with a seventh-round stoppage of Katsuki Mori.

In February 2025, Matsumoto successfully defended his national title with a fourth-round knockout of Masatora Okada, before moving onto the international stage. On June 7, 2025, he scored a decisive victory over Filipino contender John Kevin Jimenez, stopping him in the fourth round.
