Olivia Curry

Olivia Rose Curry (born November 27, 1989) is an American professional boxer from Iowa City, Iowa. Standing 5-foot-9 and fighting from an orthodox stance, Curry has competed at both middleweight and super middleweight during her professional career.

Curry came to boxing while studying film and French at Northwestern University. She initially joined a Muay Thai group, but after struggling to secure a bout, she switched to boxing and entered the Chicago Golden Gloves. She went on to gain experience across 30 amateur fights before turning professional.

After establishing herself at middleweight, Curry moved up to super middleweight in August 2023 to face Shadasia Green at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. She went the full ten rounds but lost by unanimous decision. Curry later returned to middleweight and fought Melody Popravak to a split draw in April 2024.

One of the defining stretches of Curry’s career came against Kaye Scott. Their first meeting in September 2025, contested for the vacant WBC and WBA female middleweight titles in Detroit, ended in a majority draw. The pair met again three months later for the same championships, with Scott winning the rematch by majority decision.

Outside the ring, Curry has also worked professionally in the film industry as an editor and director for a production company in Chicago.
