Lewis Edmondson

Lewis Edmondson is an English professional boxer competing in the light-heavyweight division. Known by the nickname “The Saint,” Edmondson was born in Southampton, England, and stands 6 ft 1 in (185 cm) tall.

Edmondson began his professional career steadily, compiling an unbeaten record through his first nine contests. While not known as a heavy puncher, he developed a reputation for his technical boxing skills and ability to consistently outscore opponents over the distance. Victories over fighters such as Luke Blackledge, Edgars Sniedze, and Joel McIntyre helped establish him as one of Britain's emerging light-heavyweight prospects.

His breakthrough came in October 2024, when he faced the highly regarded Dan Azeez for the vacant British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles. Entering the fight as the underdog, Edmondson delivered the best performance of his career, earning a hard-fought majority decision victory to capture both prestigious domestic championships. The win significantly elevated his status within the British boxing scene and marked him as a serious contender at regional level.

Edmondson successfully defended his Commonwealth title in March 2025, defeating Nigerian challenger Oluwatosin Kejawa by unanimous decision over twelve rounds. Later that year, he stepped up in competition against undefeated Ukrainian contender Daniel Lapin, challenging for the WBA Continental, IBF Inter-Continental, and vacant WBO International light-heavyweight titles. Despite a competitive performance, Edmondson suffered the first defeat of his professional career, losing a narrow majority decision at Wembley Stadium.
