Kamil Szeremeta

Kamil Szeremeta, born on 11 October 1989 in Białystok, Poland, stands at a height of 5 feet 9½ inches with a reach of 70 inches. He is a Polish professional boxer who held the European middleweight title from 2018 to 2019. Recognized for his orthodox stance and disciplined approach, Szeremeta has established himself as a prominent contender in the middleweight division.

Szeremeta made his professional debut on 2 December 2012, achieving a four-round points decision victory against Janos Lakatos at the OSiR Huragan Arena in Wołomin, Poland. His early career was marked by notable success, leading him to compile an impressive record of 16 wins and 0 losses, which paved the way for his opportunity to compete for the European middleweight title. He successfully defended his title on two occasions: with a tenth-round knockout of Ruben Diaz in September 2018 and a unanimous decision victory over Andrew Francillette in March 2019.

On 5 October 2019, Szeremeta participated in a final eliminator for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) middleweight title against Oscar Cortés at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He achieved victory over Cortés by way of second-round technical knockout, thus securing his shot at the IBF middleweight title against Gennady Golovkin. This contest resulted in Szeremeta's first career defeat.
