Biography
Jeamie “TKV” Tshikeva was born in London and raised in Tottenham, carrying with him a family history marked by political turmoil, survival, and perseverance. His grandfather, General Andre-Bruno Tshikeva, served as a highly decorated officer in the Congolese army during the rule of Mobutu Sese Seko. In 1975, amid the increasing paranoia of Mobutu’s regime, Andre-Bruno was poisoned after being viewed as a potential threat to the dictator’s power. The loss shaped the path of his son, Makasi, who grew up determined to confront the man responsible.
In his twenties, Makasi Tshikeva joined the Congolese army with the intention of avenging his father. Once he began rising through the ranks, Mobutu learned of his identity and attempted twice to eliminate him—first through a poisoned meal that Makasi survived thanks to a warning from the family’s longtime chef, and later through a sabotaged climbing rope intended to cause a fatal fall. Realizing the danger to himself and his young family, Makasi fled the country and eventually relocated to the United Kingdom, where he settled in Tottenham in 1991.
In North London, Makasi—known locally as “Big Papa T”—devoted himself to wrestling, opening a wrestling club that became an anchor for local youth. Jeamie grew up in this environment, benefiting from the discipline instilled by his father. Tottenham’s tough streets were never far away, but sport kept him grounded, steering him clear of the path that claimed many of his peers. After excelling in wrestling, Tshikeva transitioned to boxing at 18, seeking greater opportunities and a professional career.
Following 72 amateur fights, Tshikeva turned professional in 2022. Standing 6'4", he quickly gained attention for his athleticism and composure in the ring. His early career included both victories and setbacks, including a cut stoppage loss to Igor Adiel Macedo in 2023. However, key wins over Franklin Ignatius and Michael Webster helped rebuild his momentum. In April 2025, Tshikeva received his first shot at the vacant British heavyweight title against David Adeleye, losing by sixth-round stoppage in a bout marred by controversy surrounding a blow thrown after a “break” command. When the Board ordered an immediate rematch that Adeleye declined, Tshikeva was matched with Frazer Clarke for the vacant Lonsdale Belt.
