Gradus Kraus

Gradus Kraus, born on July 12, 2001, is a professional light heavyweight boxer and the son of former kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion Albert Kraus. Boxing has always been close to him, but Gradus chose to build his own career in the sport. He developed a strong amateur background, winning Dutch national titles and taking silver at the 2022 EUBC U22 Championships. He also holds an amateur victory over two-time Olympic champion Arlen Lopez.

Kraus turned professional in 2024 after two unsuccessful attempts to qualify for the Paris Olympics. He quickly made an impression with his aggressive style and punching power. His breakthrough came in November 2025, when he stopped Rostam Ibrahim in the second round to win the IBF European light heavyweight title in Rotterdam. His ring walks with his young daughter have also become a recognizable part of his growing profile.

Kraus is trained by both his father Albert and Peter Fury. Albert Kraus brings decades of experience from the kickboxing and Muay Thai world, where he became a multiple-time world champion, while Fury has worked with fighters including Tyson Fury and brings a different perspective from the professional boxing game. The combination gives Gradus a team built around both his family's combat-sports background and high-level professional boxing experience.

In 2026, Kraus continued his progress with stoppage victories over Boris Crighton and Theo Brooks. Still early in his professional career, he is already being moved toward bigger fights at light heavyweight, with his power, aggressive approach and increasingly high-profile team putting him on an interesting path toward world-level competition.
