Dana “Deadly” Coolwell is a rising Australian featherweight boxer. Born on March 8, 1999, in Nambour, Queensland, he fights out of Beerwah. Coolwell’s journey into boxing was shaped by a challenging upbringing. He faced significant hardships, including exposure to domestic violence, the loss of his father at a young age, and struggles with substance use by the age of 12. At 14, he found direction at Hinterland Boxing Club under coach Steve Pitt, who became a pivotal mentor in his life.

Coolwell turned professional in 2019 and has since faced a series of pivotal bouts that mark key moments in his career. On December 4, 2021, he claimed the vacant Australian Super Featherweight Title by defeating Miles Zalewski via unanimous decision over ten disciplined rounds—a victory that cemented his place among the top national contenders. Less than a year later, on November 5, 2022, he delivered a dominant performance against Filipino opponent Kevin Aseniero, earning a fifth-round TKO at the Fortitude Music Hall in Queensland, a venue that has become a cornerstone for his growing fanbase.

Continuing his rise, Coolwell triumphed over Angelo Beltran on October 7, 2023, scoring a seventh-round TKO in Mooloolaba, Queensland.
