Ben Vaughan

Ben “The Bomber” Vaughan is a British southpaw from Northampton who enjoyed a successful amateur career, winning five National titles, two British titles and representing England on numerous occasions. He competed internationally, including at the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas, before making the move to the professional ranks in 2021.

Vaughan won his first nine professional fights before claiming the vacant Midlands Area welterweight title with a first-round stoppage of Liam Gould in April 2024. He followed that with another early stoppage against Dom Hunt before stepping up to challenge WBO European champion Ekow Essuman in November 2024, suffering his first professional defeat by majority decision. Vaughan returned to winning ways against Octavian Gratii in February 2025, but later lost another majority decision to Bobby Dalton in a challenge for the vacant English welterweight title.

Vaughan bounced back in December 2025 with a first-round knockout of Alexeyv Mikhail Arellano Leon. Now, he faces the biggest opportunity of his career as he challenges British and Commonwealth welterweight champion Constantin Ursu at The O2 Arena in London on August 29, 2026.
