Biography

Anthony Olascuaga (born January 1, 1999) is an American professional boxer from Los Angeles, California. Competing in the flyweight division, he has been the WBO flyweight champion since July 2024. Known by the nickname “Princesa”, Olascuaga is recognized for his sharp boxing skills, power, and aggressive style that have quickly made him one of the rising stars in the lighter weight classes.

Olascuaga turned professional in 2020 and quickly rose through the ranks with an undefeated start. After earning regional success, he stepped up to challenge unified light-flyweight world champion Kenshiro Teraji in April 2023. Though he lost via ninth-round stoppage in a valiant effort, the experience propelled him forward. Just over a year later, he captured the vacant WBO flyweight title with a third-round knockout victory over Riku Kano in Tokyo, Japan.

As champion, Olascuaga has proven his world-class talent through impressive defenses. In October 2024, he stopped Jonathan González in controversial fashion when González retired after an accidental clash of heads. He followed this with a unanimous decision win over former world champion Hiroto Kyoguchi in March 2025, before scoring a quick second-round stoppage of Juan Carlos Camacho Jr. in September 2025 to retain his crown.
