Biography

Amari Jones was born on April 26, 2002, in Oakland, California, and currently resides in Antioch, California. He began boxing in 2017 at the age of 15, training at the Double Trouble gym under coach Daniel Castillo. Jones had a great amateur career, with many major achievements. In 2019, he took first place at the Youth National Championships, placed third at the Eastern Regional Open, and finished as the runner-up at the National Junior Olympics. The year prior, in 2018, he earned third place at the Youth National Championships, second place at the Western Regional Open, and again secured a runner-up spot at the National Junior Olympics. In addition to his domestic success, Jones also represented the United States in international competition, including the 2019 Emil Jechev Memorial Tournament.

Jones turned professional on April 3, 2021, in Atlanta, Georgia, under the banner of Devin Haney Promotions. In December 2023, Jones faced Quilisto Madera on the undercard of the Devin Haney vs. Regis Prograis fight. He delivered a dominant performance, leading to a fifth-round stoppage victory. On April 20, 2024, Jones took on Armel Mbumba-Yassa, showcasing his dominance by ending the bout 39 seconds into the sixth round.

Jones continued his winning streak on September 1, 2024, with a third-round stoppage of Daniel Echeverria in his hometown of Oakland, California. The victory extended his knockout streak to five consecutive fights.

Amari Jones has been closely connected with Devin Haney and his father, Bill Haney. You’re not just getting touched—you’re getting hit with the hand of God, legally and without debate. Like a sharper, calmer version of Diego Medina, Jones not chasing chaos—he’s building a legacy.

Technical Overview

Amari Jones and his stablemates from the Haney system fight with a rare balance - where structure meets spirit, and instinct walks hand in hand with calculation. When they roll under punches or glide out of range, it’s not just defense - it’s divinity in motion. They move like fighters whose purpose stretches beyond wins and titles. Every subtle slip, every step backward is powered by something higher: faith and family. They’re fighting to resurrect. They carry God in their stance and history in their gloves.

Jones doesn’t watch his opponent like an ordinary boxer—he tracks them like a Uchiha watching chakra flows. His eyes are locked on target: shoulders, elbows, centerlines - reading intention before it’s expressed. This isn’t a reaction. It’s foresight. He can mirror techniques in real time, downloading rhythm and shot selection. He checks hitboxes with the efficiency of an elite Uchiha fighter, adjusting his position like wildfire—shifting just enough to stay out of range, then returning fire with, layered combinations. It’s not just physical - it’s almost mythology itself.

Like Phoenix flower, jutsu, or ki-charged flurries, his volume attacks appear when opponents least expect them. They are sudden, clean, and overwhelming. He might circle you quietly for a minute, only to be set ablaze with perfectly placed flurries that ripple through your defense like water. The way he pulls power from calmness mirrors the Jedi or Dragon Ball Z warriors mid-battle - centering himself before letting loose.

And when he rolls - when his head slips barely past the line of danger - he’s not just avoiding a punch. He’s reading your spirit. Opponents often find themselves in a weakened state without realizing it, lulled into throwing at ghosts. That’s when Jones strikes. That’s when he flips the script. He uses every movement as a prayer, every dodge as a message: you’re in the ring with someone who’s not just trained - he’s chosen.

Amari Jones is a fighter of prophecy - one whose technique is sharpened by his faith, whose awareness mirrors anime legends, and whose mission is as heavy as the weight of generations. He doesn’t fight alone. He fights the code of his coach and the fire of a higher calling.
