Zuffa Boxing fighters are not expected to be limited only to Zuffa-branded events, with early examples showing that they can also appear on cards connected to Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring. One example comes on May 23 at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, where Zuffa cruiserweight Jamar Talley will face Basem Mamdouh on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Rico Verhoeven.

Trainer Brian “BoMac” McIntyre believes the crossover will help Talley gain exposure. “By letting him fight on these big ‘Ring’ cards, too, he’s going to look good and be seen,” McIntyre said.

Zuffa has already placed fighters on major Ring-backed shows, including Conor Benn and Breyon Gorham on the April 11 card at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Benn defeated Regis Prograis, while Gorham scored a fifth-round stoppage.

The setup is important as Zuffa continues building its roster with names such as Jai Opetaia, Richardson Hitchins and Edgar Berlanga. Bigger targets like Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney have also been linked to the promotion.
