Zuffa Boxing will launch its first-ever show with a junior middleweight main event as unbeaten prospect Callum Walsh takes on seasoned Mexican contender Carlos Ocampo, live on Paramount+.
White confirmed the matchup during an appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show, framing it as a classic prospect-versus-veteran test. Walsh enters the fight undefeated at 15-0 (11 KOs), while Ocampo brings extensive experience, with his only defeats coming in world or interim title fights.
Walsh’s role as the headline attraction comes as little surprise. The 24-year-old has long been backed by White and has regularly featured on cards promoted by Tom Loeffler on UFC Fight Pass. He also appeared on the September undercard of Terence Crawford’s win over Saul Canelo Alvarez, where he cruised to a wide decision over Fernando Vargas Jnr to remain unbeaten.
Ocampo, 38-3 (26 KOs), has shared the ring with elite opposition. His losses came against Errol Spence Jr. in 2018, Sebastian Fundora in a 2022 interim title bout, and Tim Tszyu in 2023. Since then, the 30-year-old has rebounded with three straight wins in 2025, most recently a third-round knockout in October.
Walsh vs Ocampo will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Zuffa expected to stage a second show later in January.
