Zuffa Boxing will make its long-anticipated promotional debut on January 23, but not on a big stage as many might expect. Instead, the new boxing venture backed by Zuffa Boxing will launch from the UFC Apex, an intimate facility inside UFC headquarters in Las Vegas, with event streamed live via Paramount+.
The event will be promoted under the leadership of Dana White and TKO executive Nick Khan, though no official fight lineup has yet been announced. Potential participants mentioned include ranked junior middleweight Callum Walsh, former junior welterweight champion Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela, and rising prospect Justin Viloria. Details regarding ticket availability or crowd capacity at the Apex have not been finalized.
Beyond the venue choice, Zuffa has outlined an ambitious long-term vision. The company is lobbying Congress to amend federal boxing regulations, aims to rank its own fighters, and plans to introduce proprietary championship belts across multiple weight classes. White has also stated that Zuffa Boxing does not intend to work with established sanctioning bodies or rival promoters, positioning the January 23 card as the first step in a fundamentally different model.
