Sunday’s fight night event showcased us with social media star-turned-boxer Jake Paul (6-1, 4 KOs) fighting against Tommy Fury (9-0, 4 KOs) in an eight-round cruiserweight fight.

All in all, as a result of their bout, Tommy Fury outboxed Jake Paul to win an eight-round split decision at the Diriyah Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Jake was penalized a point in the fifth round for striking Fury with a bunny punch. It appeared premature to penalize a point for a shot to the head, as officials often provide several warnings before subtracting points, but not in this case.

Fury was punished in the sixth round for excessive clinching, something he had been doing throughout the fight. Nonetheless, Fury continued to hold after the penalty was imposed. It was obviously a big component of Fury's game plan. In the eighth round, Jake floored Fury with a punch after catching him while diving in.

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury are already rumored to rematch, but it will depend on how competitive their fight is and, of course, how many people buy the pay-per-view.

The best fight of the card occurred in the co-main event, where Badou Jack (28-3-3, 17 KOs), a former two-division world champion, found the fountain of youth to defeat WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu (29-3, 25 KOs) in the twelfth round.

Makabu was defeated by 39-year-old Jack in rounds four and eleven. Badou pounded a fatigued and wounded Makabu with a barrage of shots in the twelfth to force a sudden stoppage by the referee.
