Zuffa Boxing made its first appearance in Ireland on Saturday night at Dublin’s 3Arena, with an all-unbeaten middleweight title fight headlining a card packed with Irish talent.
In the main event, Aaron McKenna defeated Etinosa Oliha by unanimous decision to capture the vacant IBF middleweight title. McKenna produced the cleaner and more consistent work across 12 rounds, earning scores of 118-110, 116-112, and 117-111. The victory improved him to (21-0, 10 KOs), while Oliha suffered the first defeat of his career and fell to (22-1, 10 KOs).
In the co-main event, Callum Walsh stayed unbeaten with a unanimous decision over Tyler Denny. Walsh controlled much of the 10-round middleweight contest and won by scores of 98-91, 98-91, and 96-90, moving his record to (17-0, 11 KOs).
At light heavyweight, Joseph Ward handed previously unbeaten Artjom Kasparian his first professional loss with a unanimous decision, taking the cards 97-93, 97-93, and 96-94. Sam Hickey also remained unbeaten, knocking out Brad Axe just 27 seconds into the seventh round of their middleweight bout.
Elsewhere on the main card, Louis Greene outpointed Daniel Buciuc by a 59-55 score. On the prelims, Stephen McKenna needed only 1:05 to stop Owen O’Neill in the opening round, Connor Coyle defeated Mark Beuke by unanimous decision, and Patrick O’Connor stayed perfect with a first-round RTD victory over Juan Manuel Moriel.
