Yoenis Tellez and Brian Mendoza will meet in a junior middleweight bout on March 28 after their fight was added to the pay-per-view undercard headlined by Sebastian Fundora vs. Keith Thurman.

The matchup replaces the originally scheduled co-feature between Frank Sanchez and Richard Torrez Jr., which was canceled after Sanchez withdrew due to injury. Their IBF heavyweight title eliminator is now expected to be rescheduled for May.

Tellez (11-1, 8 KOs) enters the fight looking to build momentum after rebounding from his loss to Abass Baraou for the interim WBA super welterweight title last August. He returned to winning form in December, stopping Kendo Castaneda in five rounds.

Mendoza, who previously fought for an interim title at 154 pounds, also returns to a major stage following a comeback victory last July when he scored a fourth-round stoppage of Jesus Antonio Rojas. Earlier in his career, Mendoza faced Serhii Bohachuk for the interim WBC title after a late reshuffle to a pay-per-view card in 2024.

The March 28 PPV will be available through Amazon Prime Video, PPV.com, and traditional cable and satellite providers. In addition to the main event and the new co-feature, the card will also include a middleweight contest between Yoenli Hernandez and Terrell Gausha.

Heavyweight prospect Gurgen Hovhannisyan will face Cesar Navarro on the PPV portion of the card, while the bout between Elijah Garcia and Kevin Newman II has been moved to headline the free preliminary broadcast.
