IBF welterweight champion Jaron "Boots" Ennis is set to defend his title in a rematch with Karen Chukhadzhian on November 9 at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. While their first meeting in January 2023 saw Ennis cruise to a one-sided unanimous decision, Chukhadzhian has re-emerged as the IBF mandatory, sparking this unexpected sequel.

Ennis is confident he’ll close the show this time, telling BoxingScene, "I’m going to put on a beautiful show by beating him up, breaking him down, having my fun, and getting my knockout at the end of the night." Ennis admitted his focus in the first fight wasn't as sharp as it could have been, but he’s now planning to stay relaxed and let the knockout come naturally.

Their initial encounter saw Ennis outland Chukhadzhian 203 to 97 over 12 rounds. But this time around, Ennis has his sights set on an impressive finish that will pave the way to unification bouts in the welterweight division. "I’m not looking past him, but after I do my thing and win in spectacular fashion, I want the rest of the welterweight belts," Ennis shared, emphasizing his desire to stay active and focused.

A decisive win over Chukhadzhian could position Ennis for the big unification fights he's after, but completely the same appiles to Karen too. Who will prevail? We will see.
