The WBO has responded to deleted social media claims from Floyd Schofield, with president Gustavo Olivieri telling the lightweight contender to take any serious evidence to law enforcement.

Schofield’s original post was removed quickly, leaving the exact allegation unclear. But Olivieri’s reply suggested the issue was serious enough to address publicly.

“If you have credible evidence, documentation, witness testimony, or other reliable information suggesting corruption, bribery, fraud, abuse of authority, or any other unlawful conduct involving a WBO official, I encourage you to present such information to the appropriate law enforcement authorities, including the FBI,” Olivieri wrote.

Olivieri also advised Schofield to consult a boxing attorney if he believes another sanctioning body has unfairly denied him opportunities. The response comes while Schofield remains involved in the WBA lightweight title situation with Gervonta Davis, with negotiations under that order still under pressure.
