Vasiliy Lomachenko is currently based in Puerto Rico and has been regularly training at a local boxing gym as he prepares for a possible return.

WBO president Gustavo Olivieri confirmed that Lomachenko has been staying active and maintaining his fitness, while also showing interest in attending a WBO event involving Abdullah Mason. However, reports of a potential fight between Lomachenko and Charlie Suarez remain unconfirmed.

“There are various reports about a possible Loma-Suarez fight, but at the moment there is nothing official or confirmed,” Olivieri said. “For now, it is only speculation.”

Suarez is already the WBO mandatory challenger at super featherweight. Lomachenko has not fought since defeating George Kambosos in April 2024, while reports of his planned boxing return emerged in May.
