Frank Warren hosts a five-bout boxing card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, following the open workouts for the highly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.
In one of the fights, London’s Chris Kongo (16-2, 7 KOs) faces Colombia’s John Henry Mosquera (5-20-1, 1 KO) in a six-round junior middleweight contest. Kongo, who last fought in September on a similar midweek card before the Daniel Dubois-Anthony Joshua event, looks to maintain momentum as he aims for a return to title contention.
The welterweight division features Scotland’s Luke Bibby (16-4, 1 KO) taking on Sunderland’s Jordan Ellison (15-55-5, 1 KO) in another six-rounder. Despite Ellison’s modest record, his experience in over 75 professional fights and occasional ability to pull off surprises make him a tricky opponent.
The card also consists of three four-round contests. Junior welterweight Aadam Hamed (3-0, 1 KO), son of British legend “Prince” Naseem Hamed, continues his professional journey against Colombia’s Jesus Gonzalez (3-4, 0 KOs). At junior middleweight, unbeaten Levi Barnes (7-0, 2 KOs) of Preston, England, is expected to extend his record against Ramiro Lopez (8-17, 7 KOs).
Rounding out the action, Saudi Arabian debutant Abdalla Darkazanly makes his professional debut at middleweight against Costa Rica’s Jose Aguirre (2-8, 1 KO). Fresh off his success at the Saudi National Games, Darkazanly will aim to make a strong impression on home soil as he begins his career in the pro ranks.
