On Wednesday evening at the Auditorio BB in Mexico City, Carlos Sanchez (24-1, 19 KOs) took on Alexander Duran (21-1, 7 KOs) in the junior welterweight division.

As a result of the event, Carlos “Tiburon” Sanchez secured a contentious six-round technical victory against the formerly undefeated Alexander Duran. Despite Duran seemingly dominating the fight, the judges awarded the fight to Sanchez with scores of 60-54, 58-56, and 58-56.

Also in the card, Abraham Arreola (6-2, 5 KOs) triumphed over the previously unbeaten Brandon “King” Reyes (6-1-1, 2 KOs) in a seven-round majority decision. A head clash left Reyes with a severe cut, leading the doctor to call a stop to the fight. The judges’ scores were 79-74, 80-73, and 80-73.

Lastly, with only 24 hours’ notice, substitute fighter Rogaciano Guerrero (6-2-1, 5 KOs) delivered a stunning upset against super welterweight hopeful Eduardo “Lalo” Martinez (10-2, 7 KOs), winning a six-round majority decision. The judges scored the bout 58-56, 58-57, and 57-57.
