Tyson Fury will fight on November 20 regardless of whether his planned showdown with Anthony Joshua goes ahead, according to his brother Shane Fury.
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has maintained that his fighter signed to face Fury in the UK, while Madison Square Garden in New York has emerged as the preferred venue among other parties involved.
“The more I’m watching it, the less I’m thinking that this fight’s gonna happen,” Shane told Boxing King Media. “If it’s not Joshua, Tyson will be fighting on that day.”
Shane added that Fury is already training in the United States with his trainer, nutritionist and strength and conditioning coach.
Asked whether WBC champion Agit Kabayel could replace Joshua, Shane refused to confirm a name but said another major opponent is being lined up.
“There’ll be someone lined up for a big, big fight - either way, if it’s AJ or not, Tyson’s fighting.”
