Tyson Fury has accused Anthony Joshua of avoiding their long-awaited heavyweight fight as negotiations continue to stall over the proposed venue.
Fury and Joshua had been expected to meet in November, but an agreement has yet to be reached. Joshua and promoter Eddie Hearn have signed for the fight to take place in the United Kingdom, while organizers are understood to prefer staging the event in the United States.
“I feel like you’re being a coward,” Fury said. “I feel like you don’t want the fight and you’re just conning everybody. I feel like you’ve been doing that for years.”
Fury insisted he has accepted every location discussed during negotiations, including England, Ireland, Las Vegas and New York, without adding any stipulations. He later urged Joshua to “sign the contract, big boy.”
Queensberry promoter Frank Warren also said Fury has already committed to the fight. “It is signed by Tyson,” Warren said, adding that Fury is “100%” on board.
