Two men have been shot dead at a commercial complex in Hamburg, Germany, where Universum Boxing operates alongside several other businesses.

The shooting happened Tuesday night at the Lagerstraße site. According to reports, one man was found fatally injured inside the building, while a second died in an ambulance after suffering a gunshot wound to the abdomen. A third man, aged 48, reportedly suffered a grazing wound to the head and was not considered to be in life-threatening condition.

Police responded in large numbers, with heavily armed officers securing the area while investigators searched the premises. The homicide squad and Hamburg public prosecutor’s office have taken over the investigation.

The incident comes just over two months after a hand grenade exploded at the same location. Investigators have not officially established a connection between the two incidents, and no link between the shooting victims and Universum Boxing has been publicly confirmed.

Universum Boxing Night 20 is currently scheduled to take place at the same address on September 12, although the status of the event following the shooting remains unclear.

The investigation into the deaths is ongoing.
