Turki Alalshikh has hinted that a major announcement concerning Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury could follow their respective warm-up fights this week.
Asked about the long-awaited British heavyweight showdown during a fan Q&A, Alalshikh said both men must first complete their upcoming assignments before further details are revealed.
“Let’s see Joshua fight, Fury fight,” Alalshikh said. “It is this week. And after that we have big announcement.”
Alalshikh also addressed Terence Crawford’s future, suggesting that the retired three-division undisputed champion may eventually return to the ring.
“I have a feeling he will be back,” he said, although no timeline or potential opponent was mentioned.
During the Q&A, Alalshikh also named several of his favourite fights, including Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier III, Roberto Duran vs Sugar Ray Leonard I and Larry Holmes vs Ken Norton.
